Think Broadway is just for our Chicago friends? Think again! Broadway in Peoria is defying gravity and bringing the spellbinding sensation Wicked to the Prairie Home Alliance Theater at the Peoria Civic Center this summer.
Currently the 4th longest-running show in Broadway history, Wicked celebrated its 21st Anniversary on Broadway on October 30th. The Peoria engagement arrives at a magical moment, right between the two blockbuster movie releases: Part One in November 2024 and Part Two coming in November 2025.
Peoria’s most “popular” musical takes you to the Land of Oz… but from a whole new perspective. Long before Dorothy arrives, another young woman is born with emerald-green skin — smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who’s exceptionally popular, their rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships… until the world decides to call one “good” and the other one “wicked.”
